This is just a short trip down the coast. Unfortunately this was the only rainy day we had during our whole holiday.

We did a detour through Castroville - the world capital of artichokes - to Salinas and on to the Laguna Seca Raceway on the outskirts of Monterey.

Monterey is the home to one of the greatest aquariums I know - the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The jellyfish room has to be my favourite exhibit.
