Day Ten San Francisco

Chinatown

San Francisco has a very European air to it and I felt no trepidation walking though the streets. Despite the hills, it is a walker's city.

We sent off from the hotel in the direction of Chinatown. At Pier 39The shops, especially the butchers, are very interesting. From Chinatown, it went up to the top of Telegraph Hill to the Coit Tower. We took the lift up to the top of the tower to get an even better view of the city.

Then it was down towards Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 with its shops, restaurants and fun rides. And, of course, the seals! Being too tired to walk back, we caught the cable car back to Powell.
