This is a long haul day. We first went around by Pendleton , home of the Roundup (2nd week in September), one of the largest rodeos in America.

Then we headed Northeast over the state line, through Walla Walla , Washington (doesn't that have a great ring to it) and onto Clarkston / Lewiston. Don't miss the scenic view over the Snake River valley and the two cities.

Further north is Pullman, home of the Washington State university.

Spokane held the Expo World's Fair in 1974 and the exhibition grounds are on the peninsula in the Spokane River.
