Day Eleven Winthrop - Leavenworth

Click for Leavenworth, Washington Forecast

Lake Chelan

From Winthrop Leavenworthwe travelled to Leavenworth the next day; changing one film set for another!

First we travelled back south past Lake Chelan to Wenatchee. You can either take Highway 97 on the east side or Highway 97 on the west side of the Columbia River.

Leavenworth is a Bavarian town in America.

Everything, even the McDonald's, is built to look German. The locals wear traditional Bavarian dress. I first thought this embarrassing, coming from Germany, but got used to it quickly and found it quaint after a while.

I even got to drink some Altbier (my local brew in Germany) at the microbewery.
