Day Fourteen Seattle

Click for Seattle, Washington Forecast

Seattle Seattle is the home of the Expo World's Fair in 1962. The Space Needle and monorail were built at that time. We had breakfast in the restaurant at the top of the Space Needle.

At the Imax theatre, next door to the great Aquarium, we watched a spectacular film about and over Mt. St. Helens. Not for the weak of stomach!! Snoqualmie Falls

We laughed at cover the fish merchants at Pike Place Market.

We went to the Woodland Park Zoo and the Museum of Flight. We crossed the floating bridge over Lake Washington, marvelled at the elegant houses on Mercer Island.

Of course, there is much more to do and see in Seattle but never enough time. We actually spent two days here as our flight back to Europe was cancelled.

But I'm not complaining! It gave us the chance to visit the Snoqualmie Falls about 45 kilometres east of Seattle.
