Day Eleven Torrey - Bryce Canyon N.P.

Click for Torrey, Utah Forecast

Bryce Canyon National Park is reached from the north via Highway 12. This is surely one of the most scenic routes in the US.

Bryce Canyon N.P. is not a canyon but an amphitheatre full of Hoodoos, rock pillars. We first drove all the way to the end of the road to Rainbow Point and then returned stopping off at all the overlooks. Bryce Point is the first overlook of many that actually is at the rim of the amphitheatre.

It is also worthwhile to go down into the amphitheatre. Bryce Canyon N.P. is an amazing place made so much better by the snow that was still lying. The colours and light of the place cannot be described. Just go there!

We stayed the night in Western Town Resort. At that time, it was still being built and we were the only guests.
