Day Fourteen Las Vegas - Flagstaff

Click for Las Vegas, Nevada Forecast

This is a long haul day. I had driven this route in the opposite direction in 1996 but this time it seemed even longer. We stopped briefly at at Hoover Dam .

After getting to the hotel in Flagstaff, we carried on eastwards on I-40 to Meteor Crater, the best preserved impact site on earth. The crater is 570 feet deep, 4100 feet across and over 3 miles in circumference - that is what I call a hole!! The Museum explains about the meteor impact and also about the history of space exploration
