My holiday actually started in San Diego with a two day stop-over. I had always wanted to visit this city as it has one of, if not, the best Zoos in the world - The San Diego Zoo. The Zoo is situated in Balboa Park which is full of wonderful museums.

I spent over 6 hours here. First take the bus tour to acquaint yourself with the layout. There are so many great animals here - some of which aren't seen in any zoos in Europe. There are pandas and a wonderful gorilla exhibit. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the tigers as they were well hidden in their enclosure.
